Pricing Plan based on Downloads does not guarantee Success....

Can you address these concerns?
A download does not constitute a successful repair, independent testing by Simnplify3d still shows intersect errors while most manifold errors are addressed.  Without a tool to test and identify errors after the process, we MUST download and test.  Failed repairs must be reworked and re-uploaded/downloadfed several times before ALL errors are removed.

Excperience with ZBrush mesh is that MANY cycles of test and repair are needed because fixing a manifild often triggers other errors to appear.  ZB dynamesh and zmesh retopo export leads to many of these type of problems because irregular tri's attempt to fill irregular (adaptive) quads..   I want to help - dreamcutter

HI dreamcutter,

I believe you have a valid point in regards to the many cycles that you might encounter while fixing a file and currently we are thinking about ways to address this including a standalone version that doesn't set a limit on the number of repairs. However, we are currently addressing this issue through our support team which will help in the process of fixing the files and sometimes they might even run the files through our latest tech advancements that is not yet available publicly and if the result is not satisfactory then we are more than happy to top up your number of downloads so you don't miss any.

If you have any suggestions then please let us know so that we can address this concern, our current thought process is toward launching a standalone at the moment.

GOOD, I'M SATISFIED

Thanks Faisil and Baha,
I like doing business with a company that listen's to its customers.  Thanks for considering our opinion.  Standalone offering makes sense because more revenue supports development rather than a ISP and servers however the online version is convenient and does demonstrate the technology well. This works far better than netfab at fixing zbrush mesh, but it may take a pass with each algorithm.  MakePrintable is very effective for 3d figure artists and and model creators who want to ... Make thier products...3D Printable!

Hello,

This is Faisal from the customer support team.

Thanks for addressing these issues. We would like to inform you that we are trying to tackle the issue of having the user to download the file before it’s completely repaired. That’s the reason we have changed from charging the user per repair to per download and we increased the number of repairs for instance for the free plan we give 10 repairs and 3 downloads. To give the ability for the user to repair more than once and view it using our viewer which detects a good amount of 3D printing errors. In case you download it and still have issues, we have a chat box that you can use to speak to our dedicated customer support team (available 24/7) and they will add the download that you’ve lost or will either assist you with repairing the file.

I will inform our product and business teams about your concerns and suggestions and I am sure they will work on improving our business model.

Thank you very much for the help :)

+1

i like the standalone as well but online more con.if there was a way to set the download limit..should be able to set for  each maybe say 3 downloads for 1 file to make sure correct if not then they can try again.if its fixed then they dont have to use the other 2 downloadscause it would be for the file so know use for that unless its bad..so you still get the same amount of downloads but for each file..thats a way to go maybe something like that.

Hello,

This is a good point. Thank you for mentioning it here :)

When we launched our plans we took it into consideration that our users may want to try multiple settings to repair the same file. This is why we created the "Repair with different settings" workflow.

This workflow will give you the ability to repair and download the same model with different settings as many as you want and it will only count it as one download.

Please send your email @ (Faisal@makeprintable.com) and I will be more than happy to add extra downloads instead of the ones you wasted :)

Let me know if you have any questions about our service.

because i have used 2 download to fix one issue which means 1 model want get printed ..i want to get a plan that i will.but scared to waste downloads on a 2 or 3 models like this one
